One of the most common requests I received during this latest testing cycle was to develop a testing platform that could be accessed on-the-go, allowing candidates to engage with questions at their convenience. I agree that lugging around a set of books is not always feasible. Therefore, I am pleased to introduce the new web-based mobile format, designed to function seamlessly on any device or computer. Access over 620 board review questions from both the Obesity Medicine Board Review Questions and Practice Tests, all at your fingertips.
Don’t worry, the books are not going anywhere. However, the mobile version has a few advantages that can not be provided in book format:
- Feedback: Have a question about a topic or want clarification on an answer choice? You can now send feedback about any question and receive a response directly within the application.
- Color: All images and figures are in color.
- Custom testing: After purchasing the combination set of questions, you have access to “Test Maker”. Create custom tests in tutor mode or test mode. Select from which sections you want to study and from what book. You can mix and match, along with screening for questions you got incorrect in the past, flagged, or ones you haven’t studied yet.
- Tracking: Track your scores as you complete each custom exam. Did you select the correct answer but then change it at the last minute (or vice versa)? The exam history section tracks all of this information to help maximize your score.
New features will be added later, including ranking questions based on difficulty and eventually allowing you to see how many others selected the answer choices as statistics are built up. In addition, links to relevant blogs and custom videos for difficult question topics will be added directly within the question bank.
Interested, but want to check it out first? After creating an account, a sample test containing 25 questions from Obesity Medicine Board Review Questions is available at no cost. Use this as a free study resource and to ensure that you enjoy this format.

I wish you the best this study season and I am excited to bring you alternative ways to study. Don’t forget that weekly ABOM study blogs and other free study resources will start in April at obesitymedicinereview.com.
